God’s rights, women’s rights, human & democratic rights
 By Odimegwu Onwumere

Many people are hardly obeying God in the present-days. They are much concerned about how to make Human Rights and Democratic Rights effective, instead of the ways of God. Especially, the politicians and feminists are culprits. And when you try to put the record straight that God laws/rights detailing how men and women should operate in the world is sacrosanct, they tell you that you are living in the past and are barbaric. But even though they change God laws/rights for their selfish pleasures, a point from the bible perception says, "I am the LORD, I change not." (Malachi 3:6).

God has no pleasure in fools who do not keep their vows. (Ec 5:4-5). This is evident in one reply I got on an article of mine from a chauvinistic feminist. The article was titled, “Rivers’ Women, Inheritance and the Future of Decency”. I said in that article that from the beginning nature and God have placed both man and woman on different roles, different body chemistry, reasoning, reaction to things and duties etc. So, changing the Laws of the Ancient of Days for politically selfish purposes christened “Human Rights”, “Women Liberation”, “Gender Equality”, just name them, are all not in tandem with the God laws/rights.

This woman said that it was very disappointing to her that I said a thing like that, and that it beats her imagination. She authoritatively sees civilization to mean change in laws and status quo when she casted venom and vituperation on my personality that she was surprised that a man in (her) 21st century thinks about women the way I was thinking in the write-up. She does not believe that the men should take the lead while the women should follow. She asked that when will my like and myself accept the fact that a woman's place is no longer at the background and face the facts that women these days are not even looking up to inherit from their spouses or fathers, but working hard to acquire their own assets in their names that they can handover to their children. (Did you hear that? Renegade.)

Further she said: “Note, their children! I did not say their girl children, because to us women children are equal in the sight of GOD.” She added in the form of questioning: “How do we develop as a nation when people like you still have this barbaric notion about the position and role of women in (her) 21st century world? How do we achieve the Millennium Development Goal that calls for Equality and Equity, how do we end violence against women when you support "light" beating of a wife to correct her?” She said that “light” because of a portion of the Quran that I quoted thus:

Yusuf Ali: [004:034]: Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because God has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what God would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For God is Most High, great (above you all).

This woman does not agree that a woman must show obedience to her man, and she went further to expose herself to ridicule when she wrote: “Please try and get civilized and move away from your archaic idea of women. On a last note I must say I would like to meet with your wife i.e. if you are married and have a chat with her on women empowerment”.

I reject this woman and her like to associate with any woman that I know in this world. It is because of this type of woman that the bible (told every woman) that you are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you. (Song of Solomon 4:7). (But) Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. (Proverbs 31:30). (So) Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious. (1 Peter 3:3-4).

She would not like “a gentle and quiet spirit” because she wants to measure with the men. It is because of this type of weird woman who relegates the Laws/Rights of God to the background that the bible asked: An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels (And Women Rights. Emphasis mine). The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life. She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands. She is like the ships of the merchant; she brings her food from afar. (Proverbs 31:10-31).

Where this type of woman is fighting for Women Rights and all that nonsense, lacing it with her jaundiced statement that Man and Woman are equal before her own God (not mine), she does not agree with the word of God which says that now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. (Ephesians 5:24). Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. (Ephesians 5:22).

This woman and her like resembled the story on the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha and Abagtha, Zethar and Carkas, the seven eunuchs who served in the presence of King Ahasuerus, to bring Queen Vashti before the king with her royal crown, in order to show the peoples and the princes her beauty, for she was lovely to look at. But Queen Vashti refused to come at the king's command delivered by the eunuchs. At this the king became enraged, and his anger burned within him. Then the king said to the wise men who knew the times (for this was the king's procedure toward all who were versed in law and judgment, the men next to him being Carshena, Shethar, Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena, and Memucan, the seven princes of Persia and Media, who saw the king's face, and sat first in the kingdom). (Esther 1:10-22).

God however warns this woman and her like and surrogates that rebellion is as the sin... presumption is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has also rejected you from being king. (1 Samuel 15:23). To this type of woman, she does not agree with the book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, (because women were not counted) the son of David, the son of Abraham. Abraham was the father of Isaac, and Isaac the father of Jacob, and Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers, and Judah the father of Perez and Zerah by Tamar, and Perez the father of Hezron, and Hezron the father of Ram, and Ram the father of Amminadab, and Amminadab the father of Nahshon, and Nahshon the father of Salmon, and Salmon the father of Boaz by Rahab, and Boaz the father of Obed by Ruth, and Obed the father of Jesse,

I am crying for this earth because of this type of woman and her like with the fact that in the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!” And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!” (Isaiah 6:1-1).

Traditionally speaking and otherwise, God can never change. However, some Devil-incarnates like this woman are changing Godly rules for their undefined Human Rights and Democratic Rights. Hardly do they believe again thus: "Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; The rod of correction will drive it far from him," Proverbs 22:15 - "Do not withhold correction from a child, For if you beat him with a rod, he will not die. You shall beat him with a rod, And deliver his soul from hell," Proverbs 23:13, 14 - "The rod and rebuke give wisdom, But a child left to himself brings shame to his mother," Proverbs 29:15 -. (To achieve her Millennium Development Goal, this woman and her like, see whoever that scolds the child as God prescribed is barbaric and parochial, causing Child Abuse and should be called names. See where the world is today with these Human Rights and Democratic Rights).

This woman and her like do not subscribe to the quality lifestyle of "HANNAH" in the bible who was regarded as "A WOMAN OF FAITH". 1 Samuel 1:1-2:10. This type of woman and her like do not agree again in the Old Testament and its qualitative way of life, which our forebears knew that contains many role models (for us today) and they lived by the principles. Great women like Sarah, Ruth, Esther and a wonderful role model for women of faith today which is Hannah never went about chasing shadows to overturn the nature's gift of leadership of the men and never saw the men as equal with them.

Love the article on Gaddafi
We must rise above tribalism & divide & rule of the colonialist who stole & looted our treasure & planted their puppets to lord it over us..they alone can decide on whosoever is performing & the one that is corrupt..but the most corrupt nations are the western countries that plunder the resources of other nations & make them poorer & aid the rulers to steal & keep such ill gotten wealth in their country..yemen,syria etc have killed more than gadhafi but its not A̷̷̴ good investment for the west(this is laughable)because oil is not in these countries..when obasanjo annihilated the odi people in rivers state, they looked away because its in their favour & interest..one day! Hello from
Johannesburg
I was amazed to find a website for Africans in Hungary.
Looks like you have quite a community there. Here in SA we have some three million Zimbabweans living in exile and not much sign of going home ... but in Hungary??? Hope to meet you on one of my trips to Europe; was in Steirmark Austria near the Hungarian border earlier this month. Every good wish for 2011. Geoff in Jo'burg

I'm impressed by
ANH work but...
Interesting interview...
I think from what have been said, the Nigerian embassy here seem to be more concern about its nationals than we are for ourselves. Our complete disregard for the laws of Hungary isn't going to help Nigeria's image or going to promote what the Embassy is trying to showcase. So if the journalists could zoom-in more focus on Nigerians living, working and studying here in Hungary than scrutinizing the embassy and its every move, i think it would be of tremendous help to the embassy serving its nationals better and create more awareness about where we live . Taking the issues of illicit drugs and forged documents as typical examples.. there are so many cases of Nigerians been involved. But i am yet to read of it in e.news. So i think if only you and your journalists could write more about it and follow up on the stories i think it will make our nationals more aware of what to expect. I wouldn't say i am not impressed with your work but you need to be more of a two way street rather than a one way street . Keep up the good work... Sylvia
