POLITICAL LETTER

Appeals from Russian political prisoner

Dear friends! With my deepest gratitude I am thinking of you, all of you who signed the petition for my release. Here, in the jail cell number 525, I am in debt, eternal dept to all of you.

Alas, the fight for a freedom of a political prisoner, in Russia, under the regime, in these times, is a inhumanly difficult task, almost unrealistic. This is why I am writing to you, especially to those who lives outside of Russia. But also to those living in Russia, as the Internet now provides a broad communication pathway to the free world for all the progressive and civilized people of Russia.

Here is why I am asking all of you for a big favour:

The time is running out before my "trial" starts. I am asking you to make as much effort as possible to alert people, especially in Europe, in the US, and everywhere where people with conscience are still in majority and can influence the politics. To make them aware of this intolerable, obscene, shameless political persecution. A second trial against one sick and disabled person, facing 10 years in jail for his thoughts, his views and his words. To contact the Western press, politicians, human rights defenders, to all the publicity figures of the free worlds asking them to pressure Moscow to drop the charges. To make my trial as public as possible.

Their strength is in silence, and ours in publicity. Everyone knows this old truth. The coming "trial" is in itself a sufficient reason to start a public campaign. It is the only thing which might help: to break the wall of silence created in Russia around this process.

Of course, they are not going to release me, this is impossible. However, a powerful and loud public campaign, if launched before the "court decision" has been made, might help at least to reduce my prison term. Maybe they get scared due to unexpected publicity in the free world and make my punishment smaller, like it happened in 2012 with the "Pussy Riot" trial. Even 7 years instead of 10, - for any person serving a term in a Russian prison camp, this makes a great difference.

Unfortunately, now i would expect a sentence of around 10,5 years in a prison camp according to the "political" law articles 205.2, 280 and 282. Taking into account my "recurrence", my former conviction, my refusal to confess, complete refusal to "repent" and to "ask for excuse", my sentence must be the worst possible, with absolutely no hope for any mercy. To be honest, due physical, medical, and material reasons i have no hope to survive for 10 years in a prison camp and come out alive in Putin's Russia.

Of course, if everyone's going to keep silence...

You are my last resort. Your efforts can not just help to reduce my term, but to save my life.

Thank you very much, my friends, for the past and for the future...

Yours truly,
Boris Stomakhin, the political prisoner.

May 12, 2013.

Love the article on Gaddafi
We must rise above tribalism & divide & rule of the colonialist who stole & looted our treasure & planted their puppets to lord it over us..they alone can decide on whosoever is performing & the one that is corrupt..but the most corrupt nations are the western countries that plunder the resources of other nations & make them poorer & aid the rulers to steal & keep such ill gotten wealth in their country..yemen,syria etc have killed more than gadhafi but its not A̷̷̴ good investment for the west(this is laughable)because oil is not in these countries..when obasanjo annihilated the odi people in rivers state, they looked away because its in their favour & interest..one day! Hello from
Johannesburg
I was amazed to find a website for Africans in Hungary.
Looks like you have quite a community there. Here in SA we have some three million Zimbabweans living in exile and not much sign of going home ... but in Hungary??? Hope to meet you on one of my trips to Europe; was in Steirmark Austria near the Hungarian border earlier this month. Every good wish for 2011. Geoff in Jo'burg

I'm impressed by
ANH work but...
Interesting interview...
I think from what have been said, the Nigerian embassy here seem to be more concern about its nationals than we are for ourselves. Our complete disregard for the laws of Hungary isn't going to help Nigeria's image or going to promote what the Embassy is trying to showcase. So if the journalists could zoom-in more focus on Nigerians living, working and studying here in Hungary than scrutinizing the embassy and its every move, i think it would be of tremendous help to the embassy serving its nationals better and create more awareness about where we live . Taking the issues of illicit drugs and forged documents as typical examples.. there are so many cases of Nigerians been involved. But i am yet to read of it in e.news. So i think if only you and your journalists could write more about it and follow up on the stories i think it will make our nationals more aware of what to expect. I wouldn't say i am not impressed with your work but you need to be more of a two way street rather than a one way street . Keep up the good work... Sylvia
