McDonald’s worker spits in tea

Police in South Carolina say that a McDonald's worker spit in two customers' cups of iced tea after they returned them because they weren't sweet enough. A video shows the employee,19-year-old Marvin Washington Jr., leaning over the open cups before giving them back. The fast food chain patrons claim they discovered phlegm in the drinks when they removed their tops. He was arrested Wednesday and charged with malicious tampering with food.

The West is clearly determined that North Korea shall not become a nuclear state. Indeed in March 2012 a Global Nuclear Security Summit was convened in Seoul, South Korea, to dramatize international commitment against North Korea's advances in the nuclear field. But, out of a total of fifty-four global leaders at the Summit, only six were African.

Refugee status for EU nationals of Roma origin in the EU?

 The short commentary deals with the issue of Roma rights in the EU. The Roma who are EU citizens are forbidden to request asylum in another member state, but that could possibly change in the future. To prove that the Roma ought to be treated more fairly, the article points out the fact that according to a recent ruling of the Irish Court, denial of education to a Roma child amounts to persecution under Geneva Convention, which could set an interesting precedent.
