Nigeria releases 70 out of 100 Chinese arrested

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei has confirmed the release of about 70 out of over 100 Chinese citizens arrested by Nigeria's immigration authority.

Death is funny. I was initially crying that I lost my maternal mother who was interred on 29th May, 2012. But I am laughing today, at least, she has lived. My maternal mother lived and died, unlike many who died before they lived.

Racial violence against Indians in Ukraine

Hindus are concerned about the reported incidents of racist violence against people of Indian descent in Ukraine. Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that if Ukraine could not ensure the safety of people of Indian descent from such incidents, Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) should withdraw the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship (Euro 2012) from Ukraine.

Ghana: Foreign retailers cited for currency depreciation

The Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA) is attributing the sharp depreciation of the Ghana cedi against major currencies to the illegal activities of foreigners in the retail sector. GUTA President, George Ofori, has cited this as one of the justifications in the renewed drive to flush out foreigners operating in the retail business, emphasizing their threat to the Ghanaian economy.
