 Breakaway PDP: Abacha days are back 

It started like a joke. After the State Governors elected their leader, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, in a vote of 19 to 16, defeating Gov. Jonah Jang of Plateau State to retain his position as Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), PDP under Alhaji Bamanga Tukur and their collaborators in government preferred the defeated candidate.

National PDP Crisis: Baraje faction threatens Tukur with jail

The PDP under the leadership of Alhaji Abubakar Baraje has said it has asked its lawyers to press a contempt charge against  Alhaji Bamanga Tukur for flouting the orders of a Lagos High Court which asked both sides to maintain the status quo pending the resolution of the case before it on who should lead the party.
