No African player nominated for FIFA's Puskas Award

Despite boasting of some of the best strikers in the game, no African player was able to get into the 10-man shortlist released by FIFA for the Puskas award given out yearly to the finest goal scored within the period.

Tokunbo dealers to sell Nigeria-made cars

Used car dealers may soon begin to sell made-in-Nigeria vehicles as part of measures to incorporate them into the new automotive policy of the Federal Government. Already, the Tokunbo or used car dealers are holding talks with the National Automotive Council, an agency of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, on the modalities of their participation in the policy.

The 56-year-old made the announcement to tens of thousands of supporters in the red, white and green of his ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), at a carefully orchestrated ceremony including patriotic music, dancing, prayers and speeches.
