GENERAL NEWS

Nigeria’s 51st bash @ Savannah

Our “About Town” man, Archie Bonka, was @ the bash organised to celebrate Nigeria’s 51st independence which took place @ the Savannah Club recently. He brings you this report with pictures that capture the moment even more than words.
It was party time for Nigeria’s 51st independence as people of all nationals in Hungary trooped to the Savannah Restaurant & Music club arena to celebrate the October 1st Day.

Many “Vanilla and Chocolate” party-goers adorned themselves with Green-White-Green, and conspicuously displayed the country’s flag in such a manner to portray patriotism.

Described as a multicultural night by our man, the place was jam-packed as evidenced by the reaction of Frank “Savannah”, the co-owner who, due to the shoulder to shoulder atmosphere did not have time to be interviewed.

African News Hungary correspondent had wanted to know the magic behind the full house turn-out, and especially bringing different nationals to celebrate the 1st of October at Savannah.

“As you can see,” replied Frank who himself was in White-Green attire. “Everyone is in good mood”.

Some even travelled up to 250 kilometres away to be part of the celebration. Gabor Kiss, a truck driver said he was thrilled to be at such multicultural get-together.

Mrs Tunde Enabulele explained that though it was her first time of gracing such occasion, she did not have any regret whatsoever.

African News Hungary selects published photos without prejudice. We decide to publish only pictures that have white or green to capture the essence of the party; so if you do not appear, just bear with us.
