By Hakeem Babalola

Underdog Zambia defeated highly rated Ivory Coast by 8-7 to win their first African Cup of Nations in a dramatic and tension soaked penalty shoot-out.

After the full time which ended 0-0 after Drogba had missed a penalty kick which could have given the elephants an advantage to win the cup.

Both teams scored the first five penalties, and they both missed each penalty. Eventually Ivory Coast missed another one but Zambia converted their last penalty which gave them the cup.
