Sena Dagadu: Doing it her way

Sena Dagadu, Afro-Hungarian songstress, is taking the crowd by storm wherever she goes with her musical group IRIE MAFIA.

Ms Dagadu, daughter of Ghanaian minister and Hungarian jeweler stormed the Hungarian musical scene ten years ago after trying her hand on designing without much success thereby closing down her clothing line, KEUNA FASHIONS.

Ms Dagadu, 30, confides in African News Hungary how she found success in music.

"I work hard through the Budapest musical underground," she says, "I played from pub to pub, jam to jamming and I think I have paid my dues".

She seems to be a crowd puller, especially female teenagers who often throng her concerts. Even people above thirty are among her fans. Surprisingly Hungarian fans they do not mind her singing in English.

Our reporter noticed that it is impossible to stand still wherever this aspiring songstress takes the stage.

Ms Dagadu currently has two albums and an award to her credit.

Her latest album titled  LOTS OF TREES, is a kind of Soul, Rn B, STRKE Afro beats. 

Her performance enchanted our reporter so much we have to vouch for her. You will never lose your money by attending her live concert.
