Brazil: World cup protests continue
As the world cup reaches its exciting and intriguing moments, masked protesters carry shields and sticks while marching in Sao Paulo,
Brazil, Thursday, June 19, 2014.
The protest demanding free public
transportation in Brazil's biggest city drew about 2,000 people
Thursday, and some smashed windows at banks and car dealerships and
spray-painted anti-capitalist slogans on buildings. The demonstration
began just as Sao Paulo hosted a World Cup soccer match, which Uruguay
won 2-1 over England.
