My mother, my friend
By Stella Damasus

I had some time to myself a few weeks ago and my mind took me back to my childhood. Funny how time flies because it all felt like yesterday, as I could remember some of the experiences vividly. Most importantly, I remembered the times I had to go to my mother whenever something came up, wondering how she would take it.

I think I should start by saying this: Nothing makes me proud than seeing my country and its appointed representatives doing the right thing regarding our welfare.

Amaechi & defenseless people
 By Odimegwu Onwumere

Governor Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers State has conquered in a lot of battles as they relate to politics and has been fighting nonstop to conquer in governance. Mind you that politics and governance are two different things, even though that they walk on, together.  And we all must join hand at this critical time of a second term and help Amaechi for our state not to fail.

Sex exports: Edo girls rescued from slavery in Mali
By Ola Agbaje

In what appears like a recurrent cycle of shame, the men of Nigeria Immigration Services have foiled an attempt to export five Edo girls into slavery. The five teenagers and one boy were intercepted with a suspected human trafficker, simply identified as Stella Daniel, from Cross River State at Seme border as they were trying to enter neighbouring Republic of Benin enroute war-torn Republic of Mali.

 Wealth from your creativity
 Stella Damasus

From this title you might think this is one of those inspirational or guide to money-making kind of articles. Sorry to disappoint you, this is straight, frank talk from me. Might get me into a lot of trouble but I really do not mind.
I got a call from a colleague of mine who just entered the movie industry a few years ago. She is very beautiful, married, talented and hardworking.

Man who lives without money
By  Abby Elinn

Daniel Suelo is 51 years old and broke. Happily broke. Consciously, deliberately, blessedly broke. Not only does he not have debt, a mortgage or rent, he does not earn a salary. Nor does he buy food or clothes, or own any product with a lower case "i" before it. Home is a cave on public land outside Moab, Utah. He scavenges for food from the garbage or off the land (fried grasshoppers, anyone?).

Love the article on Gaddafi
We must rise above tribalism & divide & rule of the colonialist who stole & looted our treasure & planted their puppets to lord it over us..they alone can decide on whosoever is performing & the one that is corrupt..but the most corrupt nations are the western countries that plunder the resources of other nations & make them poorer & aid the rulers to steal & keep such ill gotten wealth in their country..yemen,syria etc have killed more than gadhafi but its not A̷̷̴ good investment for the west(this is laughable)because oil is not in these countries..when obasanjo annihilated the odi people in rivers state, they looked away because its in their favour & interest..one day! Hello from
Johannesburg
I was amazed to find a website for Africans in Hungary.
Looks like you have quite a community there. Here in SA we have some three million Zimbabweans living in exile and not much sign of going home ... but in Hungary??? Hope to meet you on one of my trips to Europe; was in Steirmark Austria near the Hungarian border earlier this month. Every good wish for 2011. Geoff in Jo'burg

I'm impressed by
ANH work but...
Interesting interview...
I think from what have been said, the Nigerian embassy here seem to be more concern about its nationals than we are for ourselves. Our complete disregard for the laws of Hungary isn't going to help Nigeria's image or going to promote what the Embassy is trying to showcase. So if the journalists could zoom-in more focus on Nigerians living, working and studying here in Hungary than scrutinizing the embassy and its every move, i think it would be of tremendous help to the embassy serving its nationals better and create more awareness about where we live . Taking the issues of illicit drugs and forged documents as typical examples.. there are so many cases of Nigerians been involved. But i am yet to read of it in e.news. So i think if only you and your journalists could write more about it and follow up on the stories i think it will make our nationals more aware of what to expect. I wouldn't say i am not impressed with your work but you need to be more of a two way street rather than a one way street . Keep up the good work... Sylvia
