Christ Embassy where Hungarians & Africans congregate
  By Hakem Babalola
It is always a warm atmosphere at the Christ Embassy where Hungarians and Africans gather together every Sunday and Thursday to show respect and love to God whom they praise and admire so much.

African News Hungary in its continue efforts to bring Africans and  Hungarian together, visited Christ Embassy on Sunday September 5  to catch a glimpse of the happenings at the bilingual church whose devotees are mostly Hungarians.

On that particular Sunday, the service began with foundation school with brother Emmanuel, Assistant pastor. Then sister Gloria with the help of an interpreter read from the Rhapsody of Realities, a daily devotional and Bible study-guide by Chris & Anita Oyakhilome.

The chapter (The Bible-God's Special Gift To Us!) from the Rhapsody of Realities served as a preclude to the day's preaching by Pastor John who seemed to dazzle the congregation with his mesmerism that induced an elderly woman to keep falling as the Nigerian pastor delivered his sermon.

Mr. John described the word of God as conveyor of faith saying, "there's the need to believe in the power of prayer". He categorically urged the fold to learn to be specific in their prayers, as well as to seek for knowledge or the truth which he said is the word of God.

"Through the knowledge of God, everything is possible," he proclaimed. "Desire to know the word of God is important. Know who you are in Christ. When you know the word of God, you live above the world".

Preaching against lack of knowledge, the ambitious young pastor explained the importance of mind set - for success. He encouraged members to dream big, and especially to allow their dreams to manifest in spirit.

What seemed to be the dramatic moment came when a middle aged Hungarian man was brought forward with his wife for testimony.  According to his account, he had cancer for several years but miraculously it was healed on August 20 at the Christ Embassy Night of Bliss UK 2010.

"I am happy three years after," the man said, glorifying God. "Lord gave fantastic chance for me".

Although there were less than hundred in the congregation on that Sunday, Pastor John believes it will continue to grow - up to 250, 000 members or even more.

At the end of the service when the pastor asked the congregation if they had been blessed, majority finally answered yes even though there was some hesitation.

Christ Embassy Budapest was founded on October 2007 with less than ten members.

Love the article on Gaddafi
We must rise above tribalism & divide & rule of the colonialist who stole & looted our treasure & planted their puppets to lord it over us..they alone can decide on whosoever is performing & the one that is corrupt..but the most corrupt nations are the western countries that plunder the resources of other nations & make them poorer & aid the rulers to steal & keep such ill gotten wealth in their country..yemen,syria etc have killed more than gadhafi but its not A̷̷̴ good investment for the west(this is laughable)because oil is not in these countries..when obasanjo annihilated the odi people in rivers state, they looked away because its in their favour & interest..one day! Hello from
Johannesburg
I was amazed to find a website for Africans in Hungary.
Looks like you have quite a community there. Here in SA we have some three million Zimbabweans living in exile and not much sign of going home ... but in Hungary??? Hope to meet you on one of my trips to Europe; was in Steirmark Austria near the Hungarian border earlier this month. Every good wish for 2011. Geoff in Jo'burg

I'm impressed by
ANH work but...
Interesting interview...
I think from what have been said, the Nigerian embassy here seem to be more concern about its nationals than we are for ourselves. Our complete disregard for the laws of Hungary isn't going to help Nigeria's image or going to promote what the Embassy is trying to showcase. So if the journalists could zoom-in more focus on Nigerians living, working and studying here in Hungary than scrutinizing the embassy and its every move, i think it would be of tremendous help to the embassy serving its nationals better and create more awareness about where we live . Taking the issues of illicit drugs and forged documents as typical examples.. there are so many cases of Nigerians been involved. But i am yet to read of it in e.news. So i think if only you and your journalists could write more about it and follow up on the stories i think it will make our nationals more aware of what to expect. I wouldn't say i am not impressed with your work but you need to be more of a two way street rather than a one way street . Keep up the good work... Sylvia
