The Egyptian Ambassador to Hungary has assured the Hungarian investors and tourists that security in his country is now 100% just like it was before the revolution that temporarily halted business activities between Egypt and the rest of the world including Hungary
Mr. Aly El-Hefny told African News Hungary that tourism and other working activities are back to normal, saying universities, schools, banks have reopened therefore investors and tourists can resume their visit or residence in Egypt.
"We have not registered a single case of lack of security in any tourist destinations,” said El-Hefny, adding that the economy has started re-functioning with all the elements that would encourage Hungarian people to resume their activities in Egypt.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with African News Hungary which would be fully published in March, El-Hefny claimed that other European countries are now advising their citizens they can go back to Egypt.
"We are expecting the same decision to be taken by Hungary in the coming days,” he said.
Egypt considers its bilateral relationship with Hungary as old and so solid that the revolution that temporarily disrupted activities cannot break it. In addition, Hungary is as a matter of fact "one of the important source of tourism to Egypt".
100,000 Hungarian tourists were said to visit Egypt last year, a significant figure, according to the Egyptian Embassy information.
