Trafficking in human beings & organs in Sinai: everything the same
By Everyone Group

Here is another case of abduction and atrocities against a young Eritrean. We received the first report today by Tesfay, an Eitrean refugee who lives in the EU.
Rome / Arish, April 28, 2012. Trafficking in human beings and organs in the Sinai, surrounded by the indifference, is tragic just like it was before.

"Dear friends of EveryOne Group, I have always followed your admirable efforts in the fields of migration and social justice. This time I contact you for the case of my nephew who is captured by a gang of marauders in the Sinai desert. They gave me an ultimatum, while my nephew Samuel (fictious name) was under torture. For his release the Bedouin criminals have asked me $ 33 000. I ask your cooperation to solve this problem. I am available to give you all the information needed to solve the case. On my cell phone is their phone number as follows: (omitted). Thanking you in advance; I look forward to receiving your response. Tesfay"

We immediately alerted the activists working in the Sinai and those who have been sometimes able to obtain the release of refugees without ransom, but also the Egyptian authorities and the international institutions. In our appeal, we asked the representatives of the UNHCR, the EU Commissioner for Human Rights and the European Commission to strengthen efforts to save this guy and all groups of refugees who are in the hands of traffickers in the Northern Sinai: "Please do everything you are able to help him.

For our part, we are contacting local authorities and all those organizations or people who can do something. We are trying to organize an international conference about the trafficking in Sinai to be held in Egypt, involving media, authorities and institutions.

We're planning to realize this project in Cairo, because the cities of the Sinai are controlled by corrupted authorities and bands of marauders.

With your help, we can probably realize a major event, capable of moving the conscience of the international authorities. We have - through a partnership with an NGO very active in the Sinai territories - lots of raw and truthful photographs, which show the murders, the tortures, the terrible abuses committed by the marauders.

We can not, we should not continue to accept that the gangs sell, kill, torture, rape, cut in pieces so many human beings. However, if we continue to commit only ourselves, with few volunteers working on site between the difficulties and dangers, it will be difficult to combat with success a criminal phenomenon that "produces" every year tens of millions of euros and involves jihadist religious movements, political organizations, the mafia and the corrupted police. Thanks for your attention. Roberto Malini, Matteo Pegoraro, Dario Picciau, co-presidents of EveryOne Group".

Love the article on Gaddafi
We must rise above tribalism & divide & rule of the colonialist who stole & looted our treasure & planted their puppets to lord it over us..they alone can decide on whosoever is performing & the one that is corrupt..but the most corrupt nations are the western countries that plunder the resources of other nations & make them poorer & aid the rulers to steal & keep such ill gotten wealth in their country..yemen,syria etc have killed more than gadhafi but its not A̷̷̴ good investment for the west(this is laughable)because oil is not in these countries..when obasanjo annihilated the odi people in rivers state, they looked away because its in their favour & interest..one day! Hello from
Johannesburg
I was amazed to find a website for Africans in Hungary.
Looks like you have quite a community there. Here in SA we have some three million Zimbabweans living in exile and not much sign of going home ... but in Hungary??? Hope to meet you on one of my trips to Europe; was in Steirmark Austria near the Hungarian border earlier this month. Every good wish for 2011. Geoff in Jo'burg

I'm impressed by
ANH work but...
Interesting interview...
I think from what have been said, the Nigerian embassy here seem to be more concern about its nationals than we are for ourselves. Our complete disregard for the laws of Hungary isn't going to help Nigeria's image or going to promote what the Embassy is trying to showcase. So if the journalists could zoom-in more focus on Nigerians living, working and studying here in Hungary than scrutinizing the embassy and its every move, i think it would be of tremendous help to the embassy serving its nationals better and create more awareness about where we live . Taking the issues of illicit drugs and forged documents as typical examples.. there are so many cases of Nigerians been involved. But i am yet to read of it in e.news. So i think if only you and your journalists could write more about it and follow up on the stories i think it will make our nationals more aware of what to expect. I wouldn't say i am not impressed with your work but you need to be more of a two way street rather than a one way street . Keep up the good work... Sylvia
