Beyond  religion & culture: Spiritual musings

By  Odimegwu Onwumere

Spiritual Musings 1: A changemaker in any field should always expect attacks from those who are diehard to the old order s/he wants to establish a new order upon. Spiritual Musings 2: Many men had been rulers of their different republics, which wasn't by their abilities, but the orchestration of somewhat interested Capitalists, and the rulers behaved like a Prince who is a newcomer to his dukedom

Spiritual Musings 3: Religion isn't supposed to be a barrier when considering who to marry, because even couples of the same belief most times experience differences that lead to irreconcilable differences, hence divorce.

Spiritual Musings 4: Most ladies & guys in Nigeria in recent times have a particular way of deciding if they would give a nod to a wo/man's acceptance nor advances towards them. They are much concerned with knowing what the wo/man does, but with a selfish approach. Any contacts with their supposedly loved one, they must ask, "How is work?" Sometimes if the response is neither an oil worker nor a politician nor overseas based nor from an ultra-financially rich background, they back-off. Is it important to base romantic love affairs on fortune? What happens to the love if the fortune is gone?

Spiritual Musings 5: Wedding doesn't warranty a marriage that would be successful or not, but respect, love and understanding do. Often, people go to their different altars to wed with the view of attracting their Gods blessings, yet many were not blessed, but the lunatic who had no hubby became pregnant in that squalor, and delivered without qualms of operation the wedded pay through the nose for. Marriage is beyond wedding. Why do we see vehicles boldly written ABOUT TO WED or JUST WEDDED, but we have not seen a vehicle that was written ABOUT TO DIVORCE or JUST DIVORCED? Yet, many who had once gone to their altars to attract their Gods blessings do divorce.

Spiritual Musings 6: Oil is nature's given blessing, splendid and fascinating, but man's greed towards its proceeds, has turned it to somewhat a curse, and hardly are the authorities concerned with its management, thinking outside the box than oil, expecially, in my country, Nigeria.

Spiritual Musings 7: "Yes, I may be blessed with the gift of presentation of speech in sports but if you just sit down, and you don't move with the time, you will be left behind... So, anywhere you are, for you to break into success, there is a point you must get on to where you take on the spirit of David because you must see Goliath" - (Excerpted by Odimegwu Onwumere, from an interview in Saturday Sun, February 18, 2012, by the Chairman/CEO of Brila FM, Larry Izamoje).

Love the article on Gaddafi
We must rise above tribalism & divide & rule of the colonialist who stole & looted our treasure & planted their puppets to lord it over us..they alone can decide on whosoever is performing & the one that is corrupt..but the most corrupt nations are the western countries that plunder the resources of other nations & make them poorer & aid the rulers to steal & keep such ill gotten wealth in their country..yemen,syria etc have killed more than gadhafi but its not A̷̷̴ good investment for the west(this is laughable)because oil is not in these countries..when obasanjo annihilated the odi people in rivers state, they looked away because its in their favour & interest..one day! Hello from
Johannesburg
I was amazed to find a website for Africans in Hungary.
Looks like you have quite a community there. Here in SA we have some three million Zimbabweans living in exile and not much sign of going home ... but in Hungary??? Hope to meet you on one of my trips to Europe; was in Steirmark Austria near the Hungarian border earlier this month. Every good wish for 2011. Geoff in Jo'burg

I'm impressed by
ANH work but...
Interesting interview...
I think from what have been said, the Nigerian embassy here seem to be more concern about its nationals than we are for ourselves. Our complete disregard for the laws of Hungary isn't going to help Nigeria's image or going to promote what the Embassy is trying to showcase. So if the journalists could zoom-in more focus on Nigerians living, working and studying here in Hungary than scrutinizing the embassy and its every move, i think it would be of tremendous help to the embassy serving its nationals better and create more awareness about where we live . Taking the issues of illicit drugs and forged documents as typical examples.. there are so many cases of Nigerians been involved. But i am yet to read of it in e.news. So i think if only you and your journalists could write more about it and follow up on the stories i think it will make our nationals more aware of what to expect. I wouldn't say i am not impressed with your work but you need to be more of a two way street rather than a one way street . Keep up the good work... Sylvia
