Hungarian Ministry Officially Receives Diaspora African Community

In what appears to be the first of its kind, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations, Department of Africa, officially received African Diaspora Community Hungary.
The meeting which took place on Friday October 21 at the Külügy Minisztérium building situated at Nagy Imre tér 4 provides a moment of mutual understanding between the two sides.
While the African Diaspora Community introduced and presented its aims and objectives, the ministry affirmed its support to achieve the desired result.
The host, Horváth Márk, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations, Department of Africa (külgaszdasági és külügyministérium, Afrika főosztály) said that he was happy to meet African organization representing the interest of Africans in Hungary.
Among other things discussed at the round table meeting was the need for full integration of African Community in Hungary and how it would be sincerely achieved.
Represented by eight of the ten founders, they took turn to introduce themselves in which Mr. Horváth was delighted especially the fact that the founders are from different African countries.
Social integration of African immigrants dominated the meeting. The organization wants a forum showcasing Africans’ Success in Hungary through TV programme, sports, cultural events and many more.
The question that should be on the lips of both the ministry and the African Diaspora Community is "What is the next step? And as this is being answered, the meeting should be followed by active participation so that the mutual aims would become reality.
