I’m going
through a lot, says NewYork maid
Hakeem Babalola
Rape Case
The New-York Maid who alleged that the former IMF boss, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, raped
her at a New-york hotel addressed newsmen on Friday saying, "I’m going
through a lot, she said".
Nafisat Diallo, 32 said that she was addressing pressmen
because a lot of people called her bad names.
“I want them to know that a lot of things they say about
me is not good. My daughter was crying a lot, and told me: "Mum, you cry a
lot. I know people call you bad names because they don’t know you. You have to
remember this yug is a powerful man. Many people know that.
But for you, only people you work with and our neighbours
know you and they say good things about you because they know you. Please mum,
stop crying. Be strong for me”.
“And I promised her that I would be strong for her and
every other woman in the world. What happened to me I don’t want it to happen
to any woman. This is too much for me..too much for me and my daughter. And I
am here to thank everbody that support me. I thank everybody. I say god, why
me? I just want to thank everybody”
