As Africa Day celebrated in Budapest

The unfinished unity project in our diverse and resourceful
continent still hunts our African leaders today and a billion of Africans craves for an answer before the twenty first century fades away.
Just imagine; it is 50yearssince the birth of organization
of African Unity (OAU) which is now the African Union.
The organization was formed but hardly can one point at two countries in unity either politically or economically or what have you.
As millions of people celebrated the 50th anniversary, we in Hungary were not
left out as the African day celebration took place at the National Agriculture museum
in Budapest which was highly attended.
And for the first time the Hungarian foreign minister, Janos honored an invitation to grace the occasion.
In his opening address, he thanked the organizers for giving him the opportunity to join millions all over the world to celebrate this important day of the African Union.
Mr. Martonyi lamented on the fact that many Africans are now in different countries who could speak Hungarians.
“I am proud today because there are a lot of Africans in various countries on the continent who are fluent in Hungarian language due to the furthering of their education here in Hungary.”
After his speech, the minister took time to inspect the stands of African countries at the venue, Nigeria, Angola, South Africa, Libya, Egypt, Algeria, Ethiopia, and Tunisia.
