Ambassador-designates charged on prudence
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Odein Ajumogobia, has charged the 25 ambassadors-designates to be prudent in the use of mission resources.
The Minister gave the advice on Tuesday in Abuja at the induction course for designates.
According to him, for the country’s policies to be relevant, there should be a paradigm shift from the nation’s slow approach to issues. The minister urged them to be agents of change by carrying out proactive foreign policy objectives.
He observed that the ambassadors-designate had been carefully chosen to ensure that no stone was left unturned in addressing the many political and economic aspirations of the Federal Government.

The minister stressed that the ministry would no longer take the back seat in repositioning the nation’s foreign policy focus on economic diplomacy and attracting viable investment partners.
