COMMENTARY

Truth is poor & lie is rich

Corporate employees often need motivation even to do their job. Hence all most all the corporate never fail to motivate the employees. The truth is that the employees are regularly motivated by the corporate more for its own advantage than for the employee's sake.

With truth or with lie, we can easily motivate people? Most of the corporate and its employees often live in an illusion. The corporate think that they are doing the best to their employees which no other corporate is doing and also their products are the best in the market etc. Similarly, the employees also think that they are the best performers and such high and unique performers are not there in the corporate in the world.
Only when they keep thinking in the same line, they could move forward. Even though such thinking line may be stupid and far from truth, but it motivates them.
Only lie or in other words, what is not truth at present only keep the enthusiasm and spirit of people going. None of the corporate employees really think of what they know or what they are doing but they believe a lot on what they are capable off and what they deserve etc. They are 'megalomaniac' to themselves. Only when the mind conceives something about future, they could do anything.
No one knows about tomorrow. None knows about the future as well. But every one of us believes in 'hope', 'trust' and 'belief (faith)'. No life is possible on earth without any of these three ingredients.
The question is should we define the three elements viz., hope, trust and belief as lie or as a part of truth. Although all of us are having hope, trust and belief is absolutely true but the contents or compositions by which they are made are always not true.
If one hope that he would become rich, the truth is that he need not become so in future. There is no certainty that all our hopes become true and so is the case with trust and belief. But life is not possible without them. The key motivating factor of human life is nothing but what is not true at present but it may become true in future.
Employees never get motivated by the salary they receive. Only the annual incentive, increments and promotion motivate them. The possibility of getting promotion or increment or incentive is highly uncertain in all most all corporate. But still employees derive certain motivation from what is uncertain or not true at present (lie).
Most of the government employees are least motivated either by promotion or incentive or increment as such possibility is already known to them. When a known component is attached to the hope or expectation, then the sheen or glory of motivation is lost. Or in other words, the government employees know about all those things as a matter of routine process. What is true is not so charming and only when an element of lie is present in it, it motivates them.
Nothing is as powerful as lie. Nothing can make man as happy as lie. Truth is bitter and lie is sweet. Naturally man is weak to sweet and hence he love lie.
Even the animal world is full of lie. Camouflage is the best example for how lie is all pervasive in animal life. A prey can successfully survive only if it knows to lie to its predator about its presence. The success of the predator too lies in its ability to lie to its prey that he is not around and hence they need not get scared of him.
Lie and life, perhaps would have co-evolved. Dear corporate employees beware that if the words of your boss is soothing and make you happy, he or she is lying to you in most instances and if you are criticized by them, then be happy as they are some what true to you. The morale is applicable to boss as well from the subordinates end.

Love the article on Gaddafi
We must rise above tribalism & divide & rule of the colonialist who stole & looted our treasure & planted their puppets to lord it over us..they alone can decide on whosoever is performing & the one that is corrupt..but the most corrupt nations are the western countries that plunder the resources of other nations & make them poorer & aid the rulers to steal & keep such ill gotten wealth in their country..yemen,syria etc have killed more than gadhafi but its not A̷̷̴ good investment for the west(this is laughable)because oil is not in these countries..when obasanjo annihilated the odi people in rivers state, they looked away because its in their favour & interest..one day! Hello from
Johannesburg
I was amazed to find a website for Africans in Hungary.
Looks like you have quite a community there. Here in SA we have some three million Zimbabweans living in exile and not much sign of going home ... but in Hungary??? Hope to meet you on one of my trips to Europe; was in Steirmark Austria near the Hungarian border earlier this month. Every good wish for 2011. Geoff in Jo'burg

I'm impressed by
ANH work but...
Interesting interview...
I think from what have been said, the Nigerian embassy here seem to be more concern about its nationals than we are for ourselves. Our complete disregard for the laws of Hungary isn't going to help Nigeria's image or going to promote what the Embassy is trying to showcase. So if the journalists could zoom-in more focus on Nigerians living, working and studying here in Hungary than scrutinizing the embassy and its every move, i think it would be of tremendous help to the embassy serving its nationals better and create more awareness about where we live . Taking the issues of illicit drugs and forged documents as typical examples.. there are so many cases of Nigerians been involved. But i am yet to read of it in e.news. So i think if only you and your journalists could write more about it and follow up on the stories i think it will make our nationals more aware of what to expect. I wouldn't say i am not impressed with your work but you need to be more of a two way street rather than a one way street . Keep up the good work... Sylvia
